a word about dismissing others' meltal illness

"If your mental illness does not look as bad to me as I think it should, you are obviously faking it" is
1) ignorant
2) rude
3) dangerous
A lot of people don't get help because they think their problems are not "bad enough", and make things worse by beating themselves up about not being able to "just pull themselves together". Don't go around adding to that, please.

news photos of crowds ALWAYS have a classically attractive woman at the center, often looking at the camera. when i see that trend end, i'll know some progress is happening --

through the apartment wall i've been hearing one of my neighbors coughing for months now, ever since winter. long about March i started to worry they had COVID, but here we are in June and they're still coughing, so... success? :(

Glanced at the Audible bestseller list and wanted to laugh and also cry.

At the top is "Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People about Race" by Reni Eddo-Lodge, "Me and White Supremacy" by Layla F. Saad, "White Fragility" by Robin DiAngelo, "Natives" by Akala, "How to Be an Antiracist" by Ibram X. Kendi... All stuff I've read and liked or had recommended and want to read.

And then the rest of it is just Harry Potter books.

So you've got the two kinds of white people, illustrated right here.
